Thanks to that Colorado Low*, it dumped a few feet of snow in my province and together with it some crazy blowing winds that it almost sent my city in a complete halt!
…and it’s only October!!!

For a quick second I even thought they might suspend work because of the winds and the heavy snowfall, but then again it’s Winnipeg. It’s not that we can’t leave home and do our usual stuff, but many people got stuck in the snow and it crippled public transit. I was even late for work for half an hour Friday morning, but everyone knew what was going in anyway.

Okay snow, can you please go away now? I still need my nice comfy fall weather.
*A Colorado low is a low-pressure area that forms in southeastern Colorado or northeastern New Mexico, typically in the winter. After forming, the system moves across the Great Plains.[1] Colorado lows can produce heavy wintry precipitation, and have a general east to northeast movement, impacting regions as far north as Winnipeg and as far east as the Atlantic coast.
